Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India is planning to migrate from Global Passport Seva Version 1.0 to the Global Passport Seva Version 2.0.

In this regard, it is hereby advised that with effect from 1st September 2025, all passport applicants must:

1. Upload an ICAO-compliant photograph (mandatory), Or Share soft copy of ICAO compliant photograph with mission/OSP (mandatory)

2. Upload a scanned copy of their signature, and

3. Upload all other relevant documents on their own.

If the application was filled by applicant using v1 portal, it will not be accessible in v2.

To process in v2, one of following needs to be done:

1. Applicant creates new arn in new v2 applicant portal - https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission

2. EO creates new ARN in v2 for same data and processes it till granting. V1 arn in this case needs to be terminated to avoid dual processing of same data.

The date of migration to the new portal will be on 3rd September 2025.
